Description:
"There are sorrows that cannot be healed — only embraced with closed eyes."
In this fragmented portrait of The Pietà, pain does not need to be loud — it is profoundly silent.
The artist chooses the face of Mary, tilting inward, toward the depths of a restrained, resigned, sacred sorrow. Michelangelo’s original marble is here translated into graphic lightness, where the sculpture’s reliefs are drawn with almost devotional delicacy. The skin breathes, and the shadow becomes lament.
Each dot on the paper is a note of compassion. This is not about suffering — it is about welcoming suffering with dignity. A prayer drawn by hand.
A tribute to divine motherhood, to loss, to the love that holds the body of the world in its arms.
